Amnesty International Victoria's Bayside Group Annual Dinner
Featuring three guest speakers from the Koori Court.
The Koori court is a Victorian initiative set up in 2002 to allow for greater participation and engagement in the court process by the indigenous commubnity.
This year's annual dinner will feature talks from Jelena Popvic (Deputy Chief Magistrate and Co-ordinator of the Koori Courts), Aunty Pam Pedersen (Elder of the Children's Koori Court) and Mason Atkinson (Manager of the Koori Courts Unit).
The dinner will be held at the Memorial Hall of the Sandringham United Church, 14 Sandringham Rd (Mel Ref 76 G9) on Friday 12 Sept at 7pm.

Admission is $25 or $20 concession. Wine will be provided so please, no alcohol.

CHINA ACTION - National Annual General Meeting (NAGM)

Members of the Youth Summit and the National Annual General
Meeting 2008 (held in Victoria this year) formed a "freeze" in
Federation Square on Saturday 5 July. The freeze lasted for approx.
5 minutes and then the public were invited to sign Uncensor postcards
asking the internet company Google to uphold the right to freedom of
expression in China.
